The Carpenter's Son

He held me with His loving arms
But I never wanted them.
I wandered far off away from where his arm could reach.
But he was everywhere.

He kept following & I kept wandering.
He was there when I sinned & saw me do it all.
He tried leading me away from the widest path to hell;
But I ran towards it faster than the time before.

Little did I realize His unending love for me.
I knew all my life that He is supreme.
Nothing can surpass His intelligence or love.
But I knew very little of His forgiveness.

I wandered away because I feared going back
But today, I wanted to go back home.
His arms are my castle.
His love my home.
